Fast Track HCBS Prevocational Services
Prevocational services prepares youth (aged 14 or older) to engage in paid work, volunteer work, or career exploration matched to their interests, strengths in the most integrated setting they can achieve
School psychologist Tammy W. had hit a wall with the HCBS process for obtaining prevocational services in which several young men at her high school had expressed interest.
How did Holistic help Tammy find Prevocational Services?
“I’m working with several young teen boys who need prevocational services to prepare them to work or volunteer in the community. Some don’t yet know their own interests or strengths and need help with exploring the possibilities. We needed the right Direct Service Provider for these youngsters and couldn’t find candidates that were appropriate.”
Holistic provided Tammy with free training on how to fast track getting a care manager assigned to her young job seekers and helped her obtain the exact paperwork required for their prevocational services. Holistic also connected Tammy to the right Direct Service Providers for her teens’ needs.
